My Parent's 40th Anniversary

Tomorrow we will celebrate my parent's 40th wedding anniversary (actual anniv was Aug 19). What a legacy and what a standard to live up to. Some days 40 years seems so easy to do and some days it seems near impossible. I love my husband and I love my boys. But there are days that are trying.

Fortunately, today is not one of them. Both boys are napping and mommy has a few minutes to herself. Mason is having a great day. He is learning so many things. He surprises me daily with all that he knows, says and understands. I wonder where the last two and a half years have gone and I miss them. I love the stage we are in now, but I also miss my baby. I see less and less baby in him daily and more little boy. So, I give lots and lots of kisses to Miles (since he has no choice but to get them) before he can run away from me. Having a second child has taught me to savor every moments and enjoy the experience because it will be gone all too quickly.

Mason and Miles are so cute together. Miles can be fussy and Mason will start talking to him and Miles will get quiet and listen to Mason and smile at him. It is so precious to see them bonding as brothers already. Mason goes into Miles' room each morning and says "Good Morning Sunshine" (I say this to Mace every morning). It is so cute!!!

Getting started

I have wanted to start a blog for a while. The boys grow so fast, I thought that this would be a nice way to keep up with their progress and keep family updated as well. Check back soon for updates and pics. We leave tomorrow for Chicago to meet the boy's newest cousin Emilyn. Will post pics when we return.
